Job title: Accountant
Job Objective
Carry out accounts receivable and accounts payable tasks, record, sorting and analyzing transactions, prepare financial statements, assessing the financial position, and aid in various financial assignments in the Company
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Process payments, receive payments, and handle accounting tasks.
- Provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data;
- Preparing all accounting reports and statements.
- Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
- Recommending financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
- Preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
- Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
- Secures financial information by completing database backups.
- Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
- Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
- Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
- Supervise the accounting books, registers, files and accounting reports to meet legal, managerial and governmental requirements.
- Supervise a filing system with all documents in relation to accounting and constantly update it.
- Prepare periodic reports that show the progress of accounting activities from which decisions can be make.
- Ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of all activities relating to accounting
- Assist in the year- end closing process, compiling data and interpreting legal reporting requirement

Skills
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards
- Excellent communication and, Fluency (verbal and Written) in English and Arabic.
- Computer literacy: MS Office and financial accounting applications.
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Culture sensitive and good with people.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor Degree in Finance or Accounting. Professional Certification is an added advantage.
- 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in Accounting.
