* Candidate understands the criticality of database integrity in terms of architecture, security, efficiency, and maintainability.
* A strong working knowledge of relational database management systems will be required. Should also work well with written specifications and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and maintains documentation of process flow.
* Manage all databases across multiple environments for various stages of Software Development Life Cycle.
* Research and monitors design and performance improvements across database architectures.
* Identifies performance issues and develops mitigation strategies to resolve any bottlenecks from the database.
* Helps maintain proper indexing and works closely with key members of other job functions to gather and discuss requirements.
* Assists in management of disaster recovery protocol(s)
* Assists in creation of database management procedures.
* Develop documentation around existing database architecture.
