Director of Sales - FMCG Wanted

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Sales with deep knowledge of the Fast- Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry and strong proficiency in Tally ERP. This role will be responsible for driving the sales strategy, managing the sales team, optimizing processes, and achieving the company's revenue targets. The ideal candidate should possess a strategic mindset, hands- on sales experience, and expertise in financial management through Tally ERP to support informed decision- making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet the company’s revenue and growth targets in the FMCG sector.
- Lead and manage the sales team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, ensuring optimal team performance.
- Build and nurture long- term relationships with key clients, distributors, retailers, and other stakeholders.
- Analyze market trends and identify new opportunities for expanding the customer base and market share.
- Utilize Tally ERP to track sales performance, manage accounts receivable, and generate financial and sales reports.
- Work closely with the finance and operations teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment, invoicing, and payment collections.
- Oversee sales forecasting, budgeting, and ensure accurate reporting of sales figures and trends.
- Monitor competitor activities and adjust sales strategies accordingly to maintain competitive advantage.
- Develop and implement sales incentives and training programs to enhance team productivity.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure alignment of campaigns with sales objectives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Sales Director or Senior Sales Manager in the FMCG industry.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP software is required for managing sales reports, financial statements, and overall sales data analysis.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a successful track record of leading and developing sales teams.
- Excellent understanding of FMCG sales channels, distribution networks, and retail dynamics.
- Strong analytical and problem- solving skills with a data- driven approach to sales management.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, for sales analysis and reporting.
