Electrical Engineer

JD:

• Lead a multi‐disciplined team of sub‐contractors and inhouse staff, managing conflicts, establishing priorities, coordinating and sequencing many concurrent activities, while providing the project team with leadership.

• Responsible for troubleshooting, investigating and correcting of issues when applicable as well as responding to emergency isolations.

• Ensuring proper operation and maintenance for all electrical systems/equipment including, but not limited to Dry type transforms, high voltage switchgear in accordance with client requirement and accepted technical standards and OEM, MV/LV panels, Soft starters, switch boards, distribution boards, metering system, VFD’s CBDB, Interior/exterior/façade/ lighting system and lighting control system.

• Supervise and co ordinate with specialized subcontractors for the following systems

o Transformers, switchgears, MV panels

o Diesel Generators

o Central Battery system

o Automatic transfer switch

o UPS

o Soft starters

• Responsible for ensuring Electrical equipment PPM’s, corrective and reactive work order are completed and followed up.

• Responsibility towards Emergency Generators and ATS’ PPM’s, corrective, reactive, certifications’ renewals are followed and addressed on a timely manner.

• Ensure enough spares available for corrective/reactive works.

• Replenishing of the spare parts items as per the manufacturer recommendations.

• Preparation of Daily, Weekly and Monthly reports based on Work Progress and Project Schedule.

• Attending Progress Meetings and Reporting Progress to the Project Manager/Client.

• Conduct a detailed site survey and prepare the Building condition reports.

• Review operating & maintenance manuals, drawings and develop risk assessments and safe work method statements for all tasks to be undertaken during the maintenance contract.

• Review the contracts for sub- contractors of outsourced works and ensure that their performance meets KPIs.
