FMCG Cash Van Sales Cum Merchandiser

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results- driven FMCG Cash Van Sales Cum Merchandiser to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for selling FMCG products directly to retail outlets via a cash van, ensuring proper merchandising and stock levels at each location. This role requires a combination of sales expertise and the ability to manage inventory and product displays effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

1- Sales & Distribution:

a) Drive the cash van to designated retail outlets according to the daily route plan.

b) Sell FMCG products directly to customers, ensuring all products are sold at the correct price and payment is collected upon delivery.

c) Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to enhance sales and business opportunities.

d) Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.

2- Merchandising:

a) Ensure that all products are well merchandised at the point of sale, adhering to the company’s display standards.

b) Rotate stock and monitor product expiration dates to reduce waste and returns.

c) Refill shelves and maintain optimal product levels to ensure continuous availability.

d) Monitor competitor activities and report any market intelligence to the management.

3- Customer Service:

a) Address customer concerns or complaints professionally and promptly.

Offer suggestions to customers on product choices and promotions.

b) Regularly collect customer feedback to improve service and product offerings.

4- Inventory & Reporting:

a) Keep accurate records of daily sales, stock levels, and cash collections.

b) Prepare and submit sales and stock reports to the supervisor at the end of the day.

c) Ensure that the cash van is stocked with the right assortment of products for each route.

5- Route Planning & Vehicle Maintenance:

a) Plan and execute the most efficient routes for timely delivery to all assigned outlets.

b) Ensure the cash van is kept in good condition, reporting any issues to the supervisor.

c) Ensure all safety standards are followed during driving and product handling.

Key Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent. A diploma in sales, marketing, or a related field is a plus.

- Minimum 2- 3 years of experience in FMCG sales or merchandising.

- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

- Strong sales and negotiation skills.

- Ability to lift and move heavy products.

- Good knowledge of the local retail market and distribution channels.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills:

- Ability to work independently and meet sales targets.

- Proficiency in basic arithmetic for handling payments and inventory counts.

- Familiarity with sales tracking software or basic inventory management tools.

- Flexibility to work long hours and on weekends if required.
