Foreman (Housing) in Qatar

Primary Purpose of the Job
Ensure efficient and effective delivery of housing services to all tenants, current and
future, in accordance with QP Standard Policy and Procedure. Responsibility includes
identifying maintenance needs of all housing premises (interior and exterior) in coordination
with CTM Division to ensure proper condition of the accommodation at all times.
Principal Accountabilities
1. Handle all housing requests and propose the appropriate allocation for the supervisor's
endorsement. Ensure appropriate consideration of the Master allocation plan. Match and
fit out the unit with the proper furniture sets. Brief and orient newly hired QP staff on all
housing rules and regulations which apply.
2. Inspect evaluate, and report damages or obsolescence of Housing furniture and
equipment to supervisor for write off.
3. Raise maintenance service requests subsequent to all pre- allocation inspections. Ensure
services (i.e maintenance, housekeeping, and furnishing) and finalized before
occupancy. Ensure AC maintenance and pest control services are performed in
accordance with QP & MlC standards. Supervise the cleaning service in vacant
accommodations.
4. Enforce QP/MIC Housing's Key Policy. Manage the Housing Section master keys.
Control issuing and retrieval of allocated keys. Ensure all keys in the Section are kept
safely, tagged and organized.
5. Prepare input to the Housing Section's budget according to requirements and guidance
from the supervisor. Calculate depreciation and fees to be charged for any damage or
loss of the assigned furniture.
6. Supervise all contractors and housekeeping in QP/MIC accommodations. Support the
Municipal Inspectors, as and when required.
7. Maintain the occupants' details in the housing database and SAP system on a daily basis.
Produce various Housing reports related to occupancy, vacancy, maintenance. etc.
8. Coordinate with the warehouse team on all issues pertaining to storing, inventory and
assignment/retrieval of furniture. Advise supervisor about any shortages or excess.
Job Description
CLASSIFICATION: C1 - CONTROLLED
9. Will be assigned to Standby Roster and may receive queries from QP Employees
residing in MIC. Ensure their satisfaction or report any problems to the supervisor.
10. Submit reports for information and timely decision by the supervisor/management. e.g.:
• Daily, weekly and monthly for all assigned activities.
• Housing status: vacant, reallocation, reserved and occupied.
• Non compliance issue including safety or Municipal.
• Maintenance work performed.
• Complaints related to Housing services.
Decision Making Authority
Ensure issuance/retrieval of items, material, furniture and equipment according
to QP/MIC according to QP procedure.
Validate maintenance requests and report to supervisor.
Supervise assembling and arrangement of furniture assigned.
Evaluate the condition of the furniture and ensure they are in usable condition.
Context / Special Features / Challenges
Responsible for over 800 QP accommodation.
Assess over 50 maintenance requests monthly.
Receives calls after office hours and weekends pertaining to maintenance
issues, including lost keys.
Qualifications / Knowledge / Skills / Experience
Completion of Secondary School Education (12years of Schooling).
Course or Diploma in the application/use of standard computer programs required in
a general office facility. Computer Literate in MS Windows, Excel and MS Word,
programs.
General knowledge of building repair and maintenance.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with tenants and.
other employees.
Possess valid Qatar Driving License.
Good planning and organizational skills.
Good knowledge of safety and security aspects related to house- keeping.
Good English and Arabic speaking and writing abilities.
Candidate to hold valid Qatar Driving License
