Job Opening for Arabic Pastry Chef

RAFCO Food and Beverages has two divisions, Madeleine Patisserie a new pastry and bakery shop in Doha that mixes old pastry with new pastry style, bringing to all customers new flavor with the best ingredients. And, RAFCO-EMF concentrates in distributing world class and premium chocolates in hotels, bakeries, and confectionaries around Qatar to meet the Executive/Pastry Chefs needs of confectionery ingredients for baking. As part of our increasing demand, our Human Resources Department is looking for a PASTRY CHEF in our Food and Beverages Division.
Duties and responsibilities

- Pastry chef s role is not limited to creating pastries. They are responsible for ensuring that the kitchen remains clean and organized.
- Pastry chefs also perform administrative duties such as preparing budgets and ordering supplies for pastry making.
- They are also expected to supervise apprentices and teach coursework relevant to their chosen trade.
- The Pastry Cook responsibilities include preparing quality pastry items such as breakfast items, desserts, breads, displays/centerpieces and special request items.
- Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment and tools only as intended, properly and safely.
- Maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation/health regulations and company requirements.
- Complete Opening Duties:

A. Inspect the cleanliness and working conditions of all tools, equipment and supplies.
B. Check production schedule and par.
C. Establish priority items for the day.
D. Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides, according to departmental standards.
E. Maintain proper storage procedures as specified by Health Department and hotel requirements.
F. Minimize waste and maintain controls to attain forecasted food cost.
G. Demonstrates adequate pastry skills and operations. Be able to plan and prepare for restaurant, catering and special events.

Qualifications
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty to a satisfactory standard. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate; certification of culinary training or apprenticeship preferred.
License/Certification: Food handling certificate.
