We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our esteemed team at our Special Needs Center. Our center is committed to providing exceptional support and care for children and young adults, aged 3 to 28 years, most of whom are on the autism spectrum. The ideal candidate will be passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of individuals with special needs and will possess the requisite skills and qualifications to deliver high-quality occupational therapy services.
Conduct assessments to identify the needs and abilities of children and young adults with various special needs, primarily those on the autism spectrum.
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that promote independence and enhance daily living skills.
Work collaboratively with other professionals, educators, and families to create a supportive and inclusive environment.
Provide therapy sessions that incorporate sensory integration, motor skills development, ADL training, pre-vocational skills, and social skills training.
Monitor and document the progress of clients, adjusting therapy plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
Educate and train family members and caregivers on strategies to support the student s development and well-being.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all therapy sessions and client interactions.
A degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Current registration and licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
experience working with children and young adults with special needs, particularly those on the autism spectrum.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.
Knowledge of sensory integration techniques and other therapeutic approaches relevant to individuals with autism.
Ability to create and implement individualized therapy plans based on assessment results.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in occupational therapy.
