Job Purpose

To install, maintain, and test piping systems in accordance with approved engineering drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Install and assemble piping systems for water supply, drainage, fire protection, HVAC, and industrial applications.

• Read and interpret engineering and isometric drawings related to piping works.

• Perform measuring, cutting, fitting, and installation activities according to approved drawings.

• Install pipe supports, hangers, and related accessories in compliance with project specifications.

• Conduct preliminary testing, including pressure and leakage tests.

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of piping systems.

• Safely use tools, equipment, and machinery required for piping works.

• Identify and report technical issues and recommend appropriate solutions.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.

• Comply with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations and company policies.

• Coordinate with other trades and project teams to ensure timely completion of work.

Educational Qualifications

Diploma, Technical Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Systems, or a related field. Relevant practical experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in piping installation and maintenance works, preferably in construction, industrial, or MEP projects. Gulf experience is an advantage.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work at construction sites and industrial facilities, perform physically demanding tasks, and work overtime when required by project needs.

Authorities:

• Use tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned duties.

• Stop work and report to the supervisor when unsafe conditions are identified.

• Raise technical observations related to quality, safety, or work execution.
