Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified QA/QC Inspector with an Electrical and Instrumentation background to support quality activities for our Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) project. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in water management, water services, or wastewater/sewage treatment projects. The role requires strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, inspection methodologies, and preparation of essential quality documentation. Knowledge of QCS (Qatar Construction Specifications) is essential to ensure compliance with national standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality & Inspection:

• Perform QA/QC inspections for electrical and instrumentation installations, including cable routing, cable termination, panels, grounding, motors, sensors, PLC/SCADA systems, and instrumentation loops.

• Inspect construction works to ensure compliance with project drawings, QCS requirements, specifications, and approved method statements.

• Conduct inspection and testing activities such as continuity tests, insulation resistance tests, loop checks, functional tests, FAT/SAT, and commissioning inspections.

• Monitor installation works related to pumps, blowers, MCCs, transformers, field instruments, and process- related electrical systems within the STP facility.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Prepare and maintain all quality- related documentation, including:

o ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans)

o Method Statements

o Checklists

o MAR (Material Approval Request)

o NCRs/CARs

o MIRs/WIRs

o Calibration certificates, test reports, and as- built documentation

o Start- up, pre- functional, and functional testing

o Snagging

• Ensure all quality documents comply with project, client, and QCS requirements.

Compliance & Coordination:

• Verify that all materials, equipment, and installations meet relevant QCS standards, IEC, IEEE, NEC, and project- specific guidelines.

• Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors for inspections, approvals, and quality audits.

• Support commissioning teams during start- up and functional testing for electrical and instrumentation systems.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):

• Ensure all inspections and activities comply with project HSE policies.

• Report unsafe practices or quality issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent.

• Minimum 3–7 years of experience as a QA/QC Inspector in water management, water services, wastewater/WWTP/STP projects, or utilities.

• Strong knowledge of electrical & instrumentation systems in sewage treatment or similar facilities.

• Mandatory knowledge of QCS (Qatar Construction Specifications) and applicable QA/QC procedures.

• Familiarity with industry codes (IEC, NEC, IEEE, ISA).

• Experience preparing and managing QA/QC documentation.

• Strong communication and coordination skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office and QA/QC software tools.

• Experience with SCADA, PLCs, and automation systems.

• Knowledge of wastewater process equipment (pumps, screens, blowers, dosing systems, analyzers).

• Certification (ISO 9001, UPDA, etc.).
