RIGGING SUPERVISOR

The applicable Rigging Supervisor is overall responsible for:

1) Field execution of all lifting activities within his respective area of responsibility.

2) Conducting all lifting activities in compliance to requirements for Lift assessment,

planning and competency.

3) Field monitoring the lift planning and execution activities to ensure that all lifting is carried

out safely and competently.

4) Assist field personnel in the analysis and assessment of risk in lifting activities and seek

required technical expertise as necessary.

5) Develop lifting plans for Non- Routine and Critical lifts

6) Review and approval of lift plans and Job Safety Analysis (JSA's) as per the relevant section

for Routine and Non Routine lifts and ensures approved lifting plan is followed.

7) Verify and cross check the lifting accessories used in the Lifting operations are proper and

ensures the competency of the lifting personnel involved in the activities are adequate.

8) Ensures proper housekeeping and all lifting accessories are returned back to the storage

area.

RIGGING SUPERVISOR

Minimum Physical, Training & Certification Requirements:

1) Shall be at least 30 years of age and physically fit.

2) Be educated to a minimum qualification of Higher Secondary School Certificate or HNC or

equivalent qualification.

3) Shall have a minimum of Ten (10) years rigging experience, with at least three (3) years at

supervisory level

4) Have adequate training and experience and be competent to act as an appointed person

or focal point nominated by management for overall control of the lifting operations.

5) Have a good command in English language (read/write) for effective communication and

able to understand and execute the lifting as per the plan.

6) Have strong administrative and supervisory skills to schedule, monitor and control the

Lifting equipment personnel and lifting operations.

7) Have experience related to critical lifting documentation requirements and its

development.

8) Be trained and holding a valid certificate of competence issued by Certifying Agency or an

Internationally recognized body acceptable to Qatargas in accordance with the relevant

‘Standard’.

9) Have attended minimum Five (5) days training for fresh hands and three (3) days for the

refreshers.

10) Rigging Supervisors / Deck Foreman shall be in possession of both Training Certificate &

Training ID Cards.
