We are seeking an experienced Rotating Equipment Engineer to join a leading Oil & Gas operation in Qatar. The role involves providing engineering expertise, reliability support, and lifecycle management for rotating equipment across major industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities

Lead engineering, maintenance, and reliability activities for rotating equipment

Oversee installation, commissioning, overhauls, and troubleshooting

Manage preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance strategies

Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards and engineering best practices

Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and drive reliability improvements

Support procurement and technical evaluation of equipment

Ensure adherence to international standards and safety requirements

Requirement:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred) with minimum 10+ years of Oil & Gas / Petrochemical experience

OR

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 25 years of extensive rotating equipment experience

Deep knowledge of rotating equipment lifecycle management

Experience in QA/QC, engineering, commissioning, and maintenance systems

Familiarity with SAP or equivalent CMMS systems and Proficient in MS Office tools

Strong understanding of industrial standards, governance, and risk management

Strong hands- on experience in rotating equipment maintenance like Pumps, Compressors (process & gas), Gas turbines, Gearboxes (high & low speed), Fans and blowers, Expanders, Electric motors & associated mechanical systems and tools.

Certifications (Preferred): Machinery Lubrication Analysis (MLA), SMRP (Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals), Vibration Analysis Certification, Training in reliability, RCA, and rotating equipment standards

Exposure to standards from QatarEnergy / Shell

Experience in large Oil & Gas / Petrochemical complexes

Ability to work independently and lead technical decisions

Strong analytical and problem- solving skills

Excellent communication and presentation abilities

High attention to detail and quality

Must be able to drive and obtain Qatar driving license
