Primary Purpose of Job:

Provide technical support to well services department on daily basis including SAP,

QHSE, Budgeting, Audits, Reports & other administration support.

Principle / Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in Wellhead, Drilling Tools/ accessories and Service Equipment management to

cater for the Offshore Well Drilling project at the Equipment dispatch and receiving point

in Ras Laffan.

2. The job includes preparation of Joints, Rock bits, Wellhead, Drilling tools, Crossovers

based on the Well's work program in a suitable skip for dispatching to Offshore Rigs.

3. To carry out preventive maintenance on the QATARENERGY owned Wellhead

accessories, Crossovers, Slings and various Drilling Tools, Slickline Equipment & Tools,

Hydraulic pressure testing of X- Trees Valves, Crossovers, subs and installs Test band

engraving the pressure test record, Assist in Tubular and Crossover NDT inspection.

4. Assembles and disassembles Wellhead test plugs, bowl protectors, pumping subs,

jetting tools and gate valves for NDT inspection, repair/ replacement of damaged parts

and pressure testing prior to storing and sent to the rig.

5. Ensures that all cargo containers and lifting tackles are having the valid inspection

certificates, color codes and meets the requirement of QATARENERGY's lifting

regulation.

6. Prepares tubing and casing returned from offshore rigs, for inspection and re- stocking

and damaged tubular for repairs or scraping.

7. Carry out greasing and redressing and pressure testing of high- pressure Wellhead gate

valves.

8. Carried out packaging for shipping urgent equipment to the rig by Helicopter ensuring

that package was under the permissible loading limit for the Helicopter flight.

9. Operates forklift of 3 ton to 10 tons capacity for loading and unloading materials at

workshop facility and pipe yard, ensuring safe operation of the equipment.

Decision Making Authority:

 Reports to Drilling & Well Services Project Equipment & Logistic Coordinator for taking

the direction either through verbal communication or on a written note. Selects the tools

and equipment either in a written form or as per the Quality procedure.

 Works according to Quality procedures and manufacturer recommended drilling

equipment operating practice.

 Ensure that Equipment is prepared as per the instruction and is fit for use; Pressure

testing has been performed to the required pressure and proper maintenance is

performed on the stored equipment.

Context / Special Features / Challenges:

 The job holder has regular contact with immediate work associates to carry out

technical duties. Majority of work period is spent in an air- conditioned environment.

Prolonged exposure to eyes when working with computers.

Qualifications & Experience:

 Completion of High School (12 years) education with subsequent technical and

computer qualifications.

 Excellent personal and office organization skills.

 Good listening and verbal English communication skills for effective interaction with

other members in the section.

 Flexibility to adapt new work demands and organizational changes.

 At least 5 years’ experience as a technical assistant position in a drilling & well

services environment
